Available Positions at BBL:
The BBL Chemist is responsible for the analysis of pharmaceutical samples according to analytical methods and standard operating procedures. These activities include the development and validation of HPLC, GC, and other analytical methods for characterization and quantitation of small molecules, proteins, polymers, and carbohydrates in various matrices. Operate and maintain equipment, including performance of instrument qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ). The Chemist will interact with clients and should have good communication and project management skills. Attention to quality is important and the Chemist is expected to audit raw data, results summaries, method validation reports, and final sample analysis reports.

Clinical Lab Scientist-Research Associate
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Research Associate - Is responsible for performing high complexity laboratory testing on patient specimens. The high complexity test is based on an LC/MS/MS method. The candidate must possess a valid California CLS license. Perform laboratory tests, procedures and analyses according to the laboratory's standard operating procedures and CLIA requirements. Perform tests, review data and document laboratory procedures. Prepare reagents required for laboratory testing. Report quality and safety findings to the supervisor. Support other bioanalytical projects as assigned. Ability to analyze and problem solve basic issues that impact test performance. Experience with chromatography techniques preferred, but not required. Training on LC/MS/MS methods will be provided. A great opportunity for on the job skill training and career development.
